RICE & BEANS.
One way to reduce indigestion caused by beans is to cook it with a staple i.e rice.
Ingredients: 1 cup beans, 2 cups rice , salt and water.
Steps Involved: pick and rinse the beans boil with enough water.
Note: After it must have boiled for 10minutes, get rid of the water by sieving. I do this while cooking beans because the water will look coloured / dirty.
Place back on fire adding some water let it cook till it’s partly tender. Wash the rice add it to the partly cooked beans , having in mind that the rice will also rise. Add more water if required and add some salt. When ready, serve with chicken ,fish ,meat stew or vegetable soup.
Fried plantain can also be added to balance the meal. Enjoy!
