What is food?

According to Wikipedia, food is any substance consumed to provide nutritional support to the body. The nutrients, which is the food taken supplies the body with balanced nutrient and nourishment to help continue with life.

The classes of food aren’t strange to us but some food that you want to include in your meals are whole grains that are rich in fiber, lean meat, tuber crops, poultry, fish, beans and nuts; low fat yoghurt, milk and cheese ; bright and colorful vegetables.

Healthy eating is not by depriving or starving yourself what you need to do is to eat healthy food,
Exercise and work on good lifestyle habit.
• Calories from your food really matter, so make sure you’re getting enough calories from what you consume.
• Eat moderate portions, if you’re eating out please pay attention to the serving size as well this is important.
• Eat whole varieties of foods like legumes, vegetables, fruits, and whole grains.
• Drink a lot of water to flush out toxins from your body.

• Problems associated to food.

• Hunger: this is a discomfort felt when one hasn’t eaten for a long time. As we celebrate “our heart goes out to the IDP’S and less privilege”.

• Famine: extreme scarcity of food and this is still going on in some places around the world.

• High cost of price: when the cost of food is on the rising as we experience now in Nigeria, it is very hard for the less privilege to put at least a meal on the table.

• Availability in the market: Problems are still faced making food available all round the year.

• Transportation: Road networking is a crucial problem in Nigeria we seriously need to look into this.
