IT’S GLOBAL HANDWASHING DAY!. Written by: MyCookery Zone

Hand washing or hand hygiene according to Wikipedia is the act of cleaning one’s hands with or without the use of water and soap to remove dirt / microorganisms. Today October 15th is global hand washing day and I will be sharing some points based on hand washing.

• Why do you wash your hands?
Washing your hands is the best way to stop the spread of germs and infections.
• When do you wash your hands?
You should you wash your hands before touching any food item this is very important.
After using the bathroom / toilet and children after playing .
• How do you wash your hands?
It is advisable to wash your hands under running water, you wash your nails, between the fingers and the palm you gently scrub it on one another to get rid of the dirt, rinse and dry.

I feel it’s advisable to use the elbow to open the tap and close after washing.
